The certification and promotion process of the Municipality of Leros as a Bike Friendly Destination has been completed.
The Mayor of Leros, Mr. Michalis Kolias, considering that cycling tourism is, among other things, the best option for extending the tourist season, informs citizens, visitors, and friends of Leros that the certification and promotion process of our Municipality as a Bike Friendly Destination has been completed, receiving among other things the digital certification label and other deliverables.
In a related statement on the matter, Mayor Kolias said:
“The Municipal Authority of Leros quietly strives to extend the tourist season with various actions, such as this one. In collaboration with the Leros Cycling Club, whose members work hard maintaining old and new walking and cycling routes in the wonderful nature of Merikia, as well as many other points of the island, we are making efforts to establish ourselves as a cycling destination on a global level. I sincerely thank the Leros Cycling Club and my collaborators for this positive development, as Leros progresses only through cooperation and not through negativity. We continue with a faster pace to give Leros everything it deserves!”
