Presentation of Bike Friendly in Thassos and at a local tourism workshop

Bike Friendly in Thassos from October 7-10 for the promotion of cycling tourism and the Bike Friendly label.

Specifically, the General Director of NatTour, Ms. Vicky Karantzavelou, participated as a speaker in a workshop organized by the Thassos Hoteliers Association and the Federation of Rented Rooms of Thassos, with the participation of APOTOP, on October 8, 2021, alongside other professional meetings.

During the workshop, Ms. Karantzavelou had the opportunity to present the advantages observed in the tourism market concerning the Bike Friendly label, as well as the criteria for businesses and destinations to join the Bike Friendly network.

The local stakeholders and tourism professionals expressed great interest in the Bike Friendly project, reflecting the potential of the destination for increased bicycle usage and its connection to the interests of tourists and visitors. Additionally, there has been a noted increase in demand for cycling services on the island of Thassos in recent years.
