Achaia Clauss was founded in 1861 by the Bavarian Gustav Clauss and is the first Greek winery to continue winemaking for 161 years until today.

The guest can enjoy a special tour and then a unique wine tasting. You can take a tour of cellar number 10, one of the oldest buildings. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that some of the barrels it contains, filled with aging Mavrodafni, are dedicated to important personalities of the ecclesiastical, political, artistic, sports and spiritual life who have visited the Winery.

Guest will be toured in the area of the “Imperial Cellar” where are 167 barrels of aged Mavrodafni.

Guest will also visit the “Barrel”, which was one of the first buildings in Gutland and today is a Barrel History Museum.

Then will visit the building of Cava Daniilidos, which borders the so-called Tower of the Bandits and also will visit a separate area, in the basement of Cava Daniilidos, where the Wine Cellar is located.

All wines are Vegan / Vegetarian certified.

Achaia Clauss offers a unique experience to cycling friends through three different routes, combining unique sights of the city of Patras:

A) Achaia Clauss – Neromana Krini – Agios Andreas, 14 km
B) Achaia Clauss – Glafkos Station – Agios Andreas, 13 km
C) Achaia Clauss – Oblo Monastery – Agios Andreas, 21 km

ACHAIA CLAUSS, continues to innovate with a view to the future, through the establishment of Wine Club, the online store (www.cavaclauss.gr) and the wine making of a collection of a limited number of bottles by manual vinification method, the Castro Clauss series.
