Municipality of Aristotle in Halkidiki: all tourist information available via QR codes

Innovation in operation and zero paper usage!

Where to stay, where to eat, where to shop, where to have fun, how to get guided tours, where to hike, where to taste wines, and so many other “wheres” are all answered in Eastern Halkidiki through the QR CODE promotion system of the businesses in the Aristotelian Partnership of the Municipality of Aristotle.

These are banners with stands, placed at hotel receptions and in the reception areas of restaurants or other tourist and production businesses. Each QR CODE leads the visitor to the websites www.visit-easternhalkidiki.gr and www.cluster-aristotle.travel, as well as to the digital information brochures of the Municipality of Aristotle.

This ingenious and innovative approach to accessing information eliminates unnecessary questions and ensures the accurate dissemination of data and records. It highlights the most important, the interesting, the must-see spots, and also guides the visitor to places that might otherwise go unnoticed.

The banner completes the professional preparation of the Municipality of Aristotle and that of the Aristotelian Professional Partnership: these bodies are investing in digital promotion, considering:

• The detailed electronic recording they have been conducting for the past four years,
• The evolutionary power of the internet, and naturally,
• The countless possibilities of modern smart devices and their users’ familiarity with them.

At the same time, it ensures uniformity and thus enhances the recognizability of the Halkidiki brand, as the visual design is based on elements that indicate a reference to Halkidiki (design, logos, use of colors).

Above all, it adds another advantage to the zero-waste policy of the Municipality of Aristotle, as the zero use of paper is a good practice and contributes to local environmental responsibility.

The banner will be distributed from the beginning of April to all members of the Aristotelian Partnership.
