Aurelia e-assist Bikes is a boutique company specializing in the production of electric bicycles and micro-mobility vehicles, based in Naxos, where it also operates its own rental and guided tours store since 2019.

Our vehicles are available both at retail and wholesale levels throughout Europe, while simultaneously maintaining the largest fleet of travel services in the Cyclades. Embracing a vertical business model and drawing from feedback received from thousands of visitors worldwide, we incorporate this input into our new productions, focusing on two fundamental pillars:

  1. Meeting a broad spectrum of customer-user needs every year.
  2. Adhering to our production principles, which prioritize user-friendliness, economic accessibility for the Greek consumer, safety, and entertainment.

After four generations of electric fat bikes – and more – we can confidently state that the final product received by our customers is of high quality, safe, user-friendly, and above all, enjoyable!

Our customers, including Naxos travelers and retail clients for personal use or wholesale clients for commercial/touristic exploitation (such as hotels, rental businesses, or travel organizing companies), trust the feedback provided by our island visitors.

Specifically, some of the benefits we offer to our tourism industry partners include:

  1. Design, development, and organization of in-house rental and guided tour stores for electric bikes.
  2. Investment financial plan targeting seasonal goals with depreciation forecasts.
  3. Supply of Aurelia electric bikes and all necessary equipment, accessories, etc.
  4. Consultancy for organizing cycling tours with a gastronomic, archaeological, oenological, or cultural focus depending on the region of operation.
  5. Design, organization, and implementation of support spaces (maintenance, washing).
  6. Provision of operational advice based on real scenarios, case studies, legal and insurance-related materials for rentals, crisis management.
  7. On-time provision of technical advice and a ready stock of spare parts throughout the year, with fast procedures during the summer season. In exceptional cases where a spare part is unavailable, we retire a bike from our fleet to serve the customer.
  8. Annual visits to international exhibitions on electric mobility, bicycles, and tourism where we promote our clients while modernizing our production methods and planning for the next season.

Some of our partnerships include:

  • Koufonisia (Koufinissiabikes)
  • Kefalonia (Rodi Studios)
  • Amorgos (Vigla Hotel)
  • Amorgos (Evdokia’s Rental)
  • Schoinousa (Jason Moto Rental)
  • Naxos (THEA Suites)
  • Naxos (Ippokampos Rooms).

Finally, we are partners of the Civinet Greece – Cyprus Network, a part of the global CIVITAS network promoting sustainable mobility, engaging in parallel projects in its member cities. Through Civinet Greece – Cyprus, we have supplied Greek municipalities such as Karditsa, Larissa, and Rethymno with Aurelia electric bikes. Recently, within the “Kythnos Smart Island” project in collaboration with the Network of Sustainable Islands D.A.F.N.I. and the Municipality of Kythnos, we provided electric bikes for the needs of the island’s workers.

OUR MISSION

To cultivate a cycling and sustainability culture among the residents of our islands by providing quality, affordable, purpose-built electric bikes and EPACs (Electric Personal Assistive Vehicles) for their daily commuting, professional needs, and travel services for their visitors.

THE IDEA AND IMPLEMENTATION

The idea originated in 2016. The traffic, noise, and environmental congestion of our islands during the summer season, combined with the practicality, ease, and cleanliness of electric bikes as means of transportation, led us to think: a versatile electric bike that would transport permanent residents and visitors from point A to point B in a more economical, safe, fun, and sustainable way.

In 2019, with the help of valuable collaborators and friends, we founded Aurelia e-assist Bikes, the first and only company to date that produces, sells, and rents its own electric bikes – with a proprietary tourist services store.

The name Aurelia comes from Aurelia Aurita – the scientific name of the Moon Jellyfish. Like most jellyfish species, it uses ocean currents to travel instead of relying on its limited muscular system. The analogy was inevitable.

THE VISION

To lead Greece in the transition to sustainable mobility with innovative products and pioneering services that support the local economy and elevate domestic travel services.

Now you know what Aurelia is and what it means to us. It’s time to discover what it can mean for you!
